  • To promote the role and status of special education principals and leaders.
  • To advocate for the full range of educational services for students with disabilities and special educational needs.
  • To promote the professional development of special education principals and leaders.
  • To promote research and excellence in special education.
  • To liaise with other organizations whose views and activities effect the development and standing of special education services and facilities.
  • To provide a forum for the development of policies that relate to students, teachers and leaders in special education.
  • To provide a forum for the exchange and discussions of ideas with a particular focus on school administration and leadership in special education.

Leading Learning 4 All

On April 3rd 2017 WA launched the new leadership tool Leading Learning 4 All. This follows the successful national launch in Canberra on February 28th 2017 by Senator Simon Birmingham, the Federal Minister of Education and Training.

Working in collaboration with school leaders across Australia and drawing on the expert counsel of its international partners, ASEPA have worked hard to ensure the Leading Learning 4 All website is a new leadership tool for school practitioners to further enhance inclusive education in Australia.

The Leading Learning 4 All initiative has the potential to influence practice here in Australia as well as overseas. Leading Learning 4 All embraces the complexity of meeting the learning needs of every student, in every Australian school, every day.”

Leading Learning 4 All is an Australian Government funded project that has had significant support for trialling the materials in WA Government school during 2016.
